The closing date for consultation comments on MCLOC's Discussion Paper on non-consensual genetic testing is 31 January 2009.
The Model Criminal Law Officers Committee (MCLOC) has the role of advising on criminal law issues referred to it by the Standing Committee of Attorneys-General.
MCLOC’s current priorities include preparing draft model offences for non-consensual genetic testing and reviewing the effectiveness of Chapter 2 of the Model Criminal Code.

On 6 November 2008, the Standing Committee of Attorneys-General released MCLOC’s Discussion Paper on non-consensual genetic testing for public consultation.
