The Model Criminal Law Officers Committee (MCLOC) has the role of advising on criminal law issues referred to it by the Standing Committee of Attorneys-General.
MCLOC’s current priorities include preparing draft model offences for non-consensual genetic testing and reviewing the effectiveness of Chapter 2 of the Model Criminal Code.
On 6 November 2008, the Standing Committee of Attorneys-General released MCLOC’s Discussion Paper on non-consensual genetic testing for public consultation.
