
The Australian Security Vetting Service (ASVS) is a unit of the Protective Security Coordination Centre within the Australian Government Attorney-General's Department.
ASVS has proven its capabillity to provide services to a wide range of government agencies and individuals who contract to the government.
The ASVS is subject to all relevant Commonwealth security, privacy and financial management legislation and policies.
The ASVS maintains an in-house vetting team as well as contracting a number of suitably qualified personnel to conduct the security vetting process on its behalf.
All assessing officers have undertaken requisite training in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Manual (PSM). All clearances undertaken by the ASVS comply with the standards detailed in the PSM.
The ASVS conducts initial clearances, undertakes clearance reviews and upgrades and it can also assist with your re-evaluation and revalidation programs. The ASVS can vary standard clearance requirements if requested by individual clients.
